MEET BRANDON

Brandon Phelps is a life long Southern Illinoisan. He understands the values of our communities and will always stand up for our families.

Brandon understands the need to bring home our fair share of education funding from Springfield and fight against wasteful Chicago bailouts. Brandon is committed to making sure our kids are safe and given the opportunities to succeed, find good paying jobs and, one day, raise their own families here.

To put Southern Illinoisans back to work, Phelps has fought burdensome regulations on the coal industry, opposed tax giveaways to the wealthy and well connected and is working to close corporate tax loopholes and keep companies from sending jobs oversees. Phelps has also stood up to Governor Rauner and his devastating cuts to vital women’s healthcare and programs that protect seniors and their ability to live independently in their own homes.

Our individual liberties and 2nd Amendment rights are sacred and concealed carry is the law of the land in Illinois thanks to Brandon Phelps’ leadership. Phelps was the sponsor of the state’s new law allowing law-abiding citizens to protect themselves, their families and their property.

Brandon led the effort to stop the governor’s closure of the Hardin County Work Camp; he won’t sit by while Rauner cuts our jobs, destroys our businesses and disrespects our way of life.

Southern Illinois is home to Brandon Phelps and home will always be worth fighting for; he’ll never stop fighting for us.

I am proud to announce my endorsement from the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police.

Our police officers put their lives on the line everyday they clock into work. We cannot thank them enough for all of their outstanding dedication to protecting Illinois families.

I was honored to be endorsed by the Illinois Farm Bureau and presented with the Friend of Agriculture Award from both Pulaski and Massac Counties today. Agriculture is one of the biggest industries in my district and in all of Southern Illinois.

I will continue to stand up for Illinois' farmers and fight against senseless cuts made to important programs that help our farming communities, including agriculture education, soil and water conservation districts, county fairs and more.

Randy HathawayYes. We need money for schools earmarked for ONLY ag classes and auto shop and building trades classes so the schools cant cut them out when times are hard. Skilled labor is what these kids need to learn instead of going to college and going into huge debt for a degree that alot dont even end up using. Especially so for those who cant afford college to start with.

Patrick StuteThen quit following the Chicago agenda and follow your hometown area...that's what counts. Not the north end of the state. You're the brightest one we have down here and need to stick with us, politics be damned...

Holly StokichPatrick Stute he has to follow the Northerners it's a give and take process, only problem is he has to give more than he gets to take. When others south of Champaign start standing together maybe then things will change. I'm still unclear how I will vote Phelps or not, I'm waiting to see his stance on our mining situation.
